Parts Manager & Associate Service Writer
Initially brought on as a parts consultant, it became obvious that Dan was a natural fit for our team. With more than 27 years of experience in the mechanical parts industry, both in Canada and in the United States, we were pleased to have him. Prior to joining our team in 2014, Dan managed the parts department of Brim Tractor’s store in south Mount Vernon for 10 years. During that time, he also managed the opening and operation of a Carquest Parts Store with the tractor dealership. His deep experience in the parts field rounds out and compliments our already strong team. Dan lives in Everson with his wife, Marla. They have two adult children.
Jim Koch, Ed.D.
Manager, Auto Shopping Service
Jim Koch, Ed.D., has been friends with Keith since he opened the shop in 2001. Since then, he’s been a friend, customer, team member, counselor and cheerleader for Keith Cox Autobahn. He spearheads our Auto Shopping Service. Through this program, Dr. Koch has established a network of dealers who are committed to the same values we hold, allowing us to help our clients find cars that truly fit their needs and budget.
Tyler Morris joined our team in July of 2018. He will graduate from WWU in December with a B. A. in Visual Journalism. He did an educational internship with the Bellingham Bells baseball club this past summer and produced a video related to the team mascot. He also spent time at Sears, the Gap and as a legal process server and never got shot, once. He has been a reporter/photographer for the Western Front and has written several articles published there. Tyler has an interest in pursuing a career in Auto Journalism and a couple years at the Autobahn is like Officer Training School. Tyler will assist Dan Raske at the front counter and help with the closing details on client’s cars as we prepare to deliver them at the end of the service cycle.
It is great to welcome Austin Hummel to the KCA Team! He is a 2013 graduate of Walla Walla University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Automotive Technology, which is a full four year program with a heavy emphasis on diagnostic training and practicum. He worked for Barrier Mercedes Benz in Bellevue after graduation and recently moved to Bellingham where he worked at Roger Jobs Motors, the local VW and Audi Dealer. Austin is married to Kimbre, who is an RN with Associates in Family Medicine, here in Bellingham.
Tim joined the KCA Team in November of 2018. He brings over 27 years of technical experience in the automotive world. He began his career with Cadillac and worked for several years at Dewey Griffin here in Bellingham. Following that, he spent several years with our friends at Sound Auto and Truck, as well as John Beebe’s Bellingham Automotive. The past eight years he operated his own auto service business in Ferndale specializing in Subaru. He is an ASE Certified Master Technician and in his personal time he enjoys doing Yoga, including instructing.
Carson Wileman joined our Team in October of 2015. He is a graduate of Walla Walla University with a BS in Automotive Management. He worked for University Automotive for two years which was a general automotive shop with an emphasis on BMW. He is married to Cheyanne who is also a graduate of Walla Walla U.
Richard Lozada joined Keith Cox Autobahn in September of 2018 as a technician. He is a 2014 graduate of Universal Technical Institute in Avondale Arizona. Since that time, he has worked at independent specialty shops and most recently for Northwest Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac, here in Bellingham. He holds certified credentials in Engine Repair, Brake Systems and Engine Performance, as well as a certification 609 from the Automotive Service Excellence program in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Agency and the latest refrigerant 1234yf and other break through air conditioning and heating technologies. Rich lives in Lynden with his wife, Alley, and they both commute to Bellingham for work.
Keith opened his business in January of 2001 after 13 years as a partner in a retail and construction management company where he was responsible for general operations. He can be found writing a service order at the front desk or washing a car before sending it out. He lives in Lynden with his wife of over 40 years, Carmielle. They have three grown children and 8 absolutely perfect grandchildren.
